Our mission is to help you optimize your energy consumption. In other words: make you save money while you save the planet. To accomplish this, we partner with key energy providers and enable their customers with powerful tools to reduce their consumption.

Our product team is entirely in-house, where we develop:

• Beautifully designed applications for utilities to improve their engagement with customers, helping them understand and control their energy consumption
• In house Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) algorithm, to identify the consumption of each appliance within the total household consumption, we do it without installing hardware at the users house.
• Comparison among similar homes with an energy efficiency scale to help users understand better their consumptions.
• Smart device recommendations: we make personalized recommendations of smart devices based on the user's energy consumption to help users reduce their electric bill.
• Self-consumption (solar, batteries, electric vehicles, etc.) and intelligent improvement of energy in homes
• And many more: we are constantly challenging new revenue streams for the company that could go in any direction. We want you to help us identify these new business lines!

Tech context

We want to create an amazing tech department, so we are trying to apply all the best practices we have learned during our past experiences and careers.

We are doing a product and, as engineers, our mindset is always user first, so we are working with an agile mindset to improve the user experience every day with small improvements.

So, we are doing continuous deployment in trunk base development. Our way to ensure the quality of the code is by doing TDD and very small deployments with different types of code reviews, katas, and a lot of pair programming.

About the architecture, we are following evolutionary architecture principles and we are cloud-first, deploying all our (containerized) services in GCP. Also, we put a lot of care and love into the DDD part.

Part of our strategy is to build a modular and configurable product so we are creating React micro-frontends and services built-in Kotlin in the backend part.
