About us

Our mission is to help you optimize your energy consumption. In other words: make you save money while you save the planet To accomplish this, we partner with key energy providers and enable their customers with powerful tools to reduce their consumption. Our development team is entirely in-house, where we develop:

• Load disaggregation of energy consumption: we developed our Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) algorithm, to obtain the consumption of each appliance in the total consumption of the household.
• Comparison between similar homes with an energy efficiency scale.
• Smart device recommendation: we make personalized recommendations of smart devices based on the user's energy consumption.
• BI tactics: we develop new segmentation clusters to enhance the utility's targeted marketing, based on the performance and energy usage of its customers.

Tech context

We want to create an amazing tech department, so we are trying to apply all the best practices we have learned during our past experiences and careers.

We are doing a product and, as engineers, our mindset is always user first, so we are working with an agile mindset to improve the user experience every day with small improvements.

So, we are doing continuous deployment in trunk base development. Our way to ensure the quality of the code is by doing TDD and very small deployments with different types of code reviews, katas, and a lot of pair programming.

About the architecture, we are following evolutionary architecture principles and we are cloud-first, deploying all our (containerized) services in GCP. Also, we put a lot of care and love into the DDD part.

Part of our strategy is to build a modular and configurable product so we are creating configurable React micro-frontends, iOS and Android apps based in Flutter (we are open to changing it), and built-in Kotlin services in the backend part.

Regarding ways of working, we believe in the magic trident of the design, product, and engineering to build the best product our users would like to use.
